The best way to get to know Virginia Commonwealth University is to visit us and see our campus for yourself. However, we realize that most international students won’t have a chance to visit before they apply. Don’t worry — you can still experience VCU even from hundreds of miles away.
Prospective undergraduate students may register with the Office of Admissions to request additional information or periodic mailings and electronic correspondence. Graduate students may do the same through VCU eServices.
If you are able to visit in person, information sessions are held in the Welcome Center, located at 1111 W. Broad St., every Monday through Saturday, except on holidays and holiday weekends. The information session is followed by a guided walking tour of the Monroe Park Campus, lasting just over an hour.
You may register online to attend one of our daily information sessions for prospective students and their families.
Graduate student tours
Prospective graduate students are welcome to join one of the undergraduate admissions campus tours. Also, many departments at VCU host program-specific information sessions, many of which include a tour of their facilities.
More information about departmental information sessions can be found online at ugrad.vcu.edu/experience/visit/deptinfosessions.html. Please contact your prospective department to find out more about its options for prospective graduate students.
